Back from a multiple year hiatus, Portland, Maine’s finest metal band, Colepitz are more grown up but have the same strength and emotion from 11 years ago. After releasing one album in 1999, I saw them many years ago playing Bill’s Bar outside of Fenway Park. They got back together in 2009 and released No Tomorrow Tonight earlier this year. The leadoff track “Voices of War” is one of my favorite songs and includes a great guitar solo reminiscent of Pantera. The song was written in honor of soldiers in Afghanistan and displays the aggressive side of the band. Check them out if you’re into heavy music and if you’re looking for some great songs for working out.
